Our before-and-after gallery is a testament to the transformations we've achieved at MIŠKA Clinic. We've restored hair and renewed confidence for over 1000 patients in Bangalore. Here's what you can expect from your hair transplant results.
What Makes Natural Hair Transplant Results?
Natural results depend on three key factors: Design, Direction, and Density. At MIŠKA, our surgeons use high-precision micro-instruments to:
- Design — Create a hairline that suits your face shape, age, and goals. We avoid the "wall of hair" look and create soft, graduated hairlines that age naturally.
- Direction — Place grafts at the correct angle so hair grows in the right direction, mimicking your original growth pattern.
- Density — Distribute grafts evenly for natural-looking coverage without over-crowding.
When done correctly, even experienced hair stylists cannot tell that a transplant has been performed.
Month-by-Month Hair Transplant Results Timeline
Weeks 1–2: Healing & Shedding
Scabs form and gradually fall off. The transplanted hair begins to shed — this is normal and expected. The follicles remain intact beneath the skin. Do not be alarmed; shedding is part of the process.
Months 1–3: Dormant Phase
The transplanted follicles enter a resting (telogen) phase. You may look similar to pre-surgery or even slightly thinner. This is temporary. The follicles are preparing for new growth.
Months 3–4: Early Growth
Fine, thin hair begins to emerge. Growth may be patchy at first. Hair will be lighter in colour and thinner than your final result. This is the first visible sign of success.
Months 5–6: Visible Improvement
Hair thickens and gains pigment. Coverage becomes more noticeable. Many patients see significant improvement by month 6. You can style your hair and resume normal grooming.
Months 7–9: Thickening & Maturation
Hair continues to thicken and mature. Density improves. For most patients, 70–80% of the final result is visible by month 9.
Months 9–12: Full Results
Final results are typically achieved. Hair has reached its full thickness and density. The transplanted hair will continue to grow for life and can be cut, styled, and coloured like natural hair.
Factors That Affect Your Results
- Graft survival — At MIŠKA, we maintain high graft survival through careful handling and sterile protocols
- Donor quality — Thicker, healthier donor hair yields better cosmetic results
- Skin type and healing — Individual healing varies; follow post-operative care diligently
- Future hair loss — Transplanted hair is permanent, but existing non-transplanted hair may continue to thin; we plan for this during design
Long-Term Care & Maintenance
The transplanted hair is permanent and resistant to DHT (the hormone that causes genetic baldness). However, to maintain overall scalp health and protect any remaining native hair:
- Consider minoxidil or finasteride if recommended by your doctor (for non-transplanted areas)
- Protect your scalp from prolonged sun exposure
- Maintain a healthy diet and avoid excessive stress
Touch-Up Sessions
Some patients may benefit from a second session if they desire higher density or if hair loss progresses in other areas. Our surgeons can assess this during follow-up. Many patients achieve their goals with a single procedure.
