What Are Crowns and Bridges?
Dental crowns are tooth-shaped caps that cover a damaged, weakened, or cosmetically compromised tooth. They restore shape, strength, and appearance. Dental bridges replace one or more missing teeth by anchoring to adjacent natural teeth (or implants) with crowns and a false tooth (pontic) in between.

The Crown/Bridge Process

- Temporary – A temporary crown/bridge is placed to protect the tooth while the permanent one is made.
- Laboratory Fabrication – Our lab creates the custom restoration (typically 1–2 weeks).
- Fit & Cementation – The permanent crown/bridge is tried, adjusted for fit and bite, and cemented into place.

- Impression/Scan Protocol – Accurate impressions or digital scans. Shade selection documented. Lab prescription with clear specifications.

- Try-in Protocol – Check margins, contact points, occlusion, and shade before final cementation. Patient approval for aesthetics.
- Cementation – Proper isolation, cement selection (temporary vs permanent), excess removal, and bite adjustment.
- Documentation & Recall – Treatment record, lab details. Follow-up to ensure comfort and longevity. Oral hygiene instructions.
Pre- and Post-Care
Before: Good oral hygiene, inform us of allergies. After: Avoid hard/sticky foods for 24 hours. Maintain brushing and flossing. Report any discomfort, looseness, or chipping promptly.
